Let’s talk about the secret sauce to recovery – hard work.
Proverbs 14:23 reads, “All hard work brings a profit but mere talk leads only to poverty.”
What the Scriptures have taught for centuries has been confirmed through the ages. Vince Lombardi said, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand.” And Dwayne Johnson adds, “Success isn’t about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work.”
Successful recovery work is just that – work. It’s about focusing on the few things that really work, and then working them. The Pareto Principle applies well. It says that 80 percent of consequences result from 20 percent of our tasks.
Recovery Step: Spend 80 percent of your time on the 20 percent of your tasks that produce 80 percent of the results.
