We like to support other ministries and this is a great one that supports families looking to adopt children both domestically and internationally. They have helped numerous families finance the adoption of orphans and a great organization to support.
This is a 4 mile run (with a 2.6 mile shortcut option) around the Cinco Ranch area in Katy. If you’re like me, you’ll be participating in “Sleep4theChildren” and donate money to a good cause.
Please register to run and maybe make the 10am meeting at The Fellowship afterwards!
Saturday, November 2: 9:00 am
Location: Cinco Ranch Campus
With 163 million orphan children, adoption is the key – and you can meet this crisis head on and help those families who feel led to adopt.
Run4TheChildren began in Summer 2011 as a fundraiser to help families adopting children. Local and international adoptions can cost an adoptive family upwards of $30,000. Many families would consider adoption but simply can not afford it. It was the heart of Dr. Scott Balin when he dreamed up the concept of Run4TheChildren.
With the cost of adoption being such a barrier to those considering adoption, the heart behind Run4TheChildren is to help with the financial burden. Families in the midst of the adoption process can apply for a grant and we will orchestrate getting them financial assistance to help cover some of the costs.
Since the onset of Run4TheChildren, this event has helped 22 children find the love of a forever family.
This year’s race will occur on Saturday, November 2. The race is a 4 mile loop in the heart of Cinco Ranch. For those who can not go the full 4 miles – there is a short cut that converts the distance to 2.6 miles. So whatever your fitness level, you can participate for a great cause.
The race begins at 9:00 am at The Fellowship, 22765 Westheimer Parkway. Feel free to show up at 8:00 am if you need to get checked in, pick up your chip and warm up properly.
The current cost is $35. If you register after September 22 – the price will go up, so register today!
We look forward to seeing you November 2 as you make a difference in the life of a child.
